Life Care and Wellness (LCAW) is a 501c3 nonprofit agency which promotes the dignity and well-being of at-risk youth and others who are made to feel less than because of their sexual orientation. We offer support, guidance and advocacy in an effort to improve the wellness of all people regardless of who they love.
In addition, Life Care and Wellness provides instruction, advice, support and encouragement to individuals, families, and relational groups regardless of their income, race, religion, sexual orientation or gender by assisting them in successfully solving complex social problems.
Support & Guidance
I have always provided a safe place for LGBTQ individuals to explore what it means to be a sexual minority while learning how to live and express this identity in their communities.
Identifying as LGBTQ can be challenging and brings a unique set of concerns to the process. I am familiar with these concerns and offer acceptance, support, and encouragement. Some of these issues can cause depression, anxiety and other emotional stressors while other issues, such as trauma, may come up and will be met with compassion, understanding and non-judgement.
During the process of acceptance, some of these challenges may include: Coming Out, Self-Esteem, Relationships and Dating, Intimacy Issues, Sexual Compulsion, Substance Use, Addictions, Sexuality, Sexual Gender Identity, Dealing with Shame, Internalized homophobia or Living with HIV/AIDS.
Advocacy and Education
For more than 20 years, I have worked with individuals towards self acceptance. Knowing and accepting who we are can be difficult especially for members of the LGBT community. As author of the book, “Hidden Voices, Reflections of a Gay Catholic Priest,” I offer a unique perspective on this struggle and have used this perspective to help others. Whether an individual identifies as LGBT or have a family member or friend who is LGBT, I can help them work towards acceptance, love and peace.
There is nothing inherently wrong with being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered – Nothing!
“We are all beautifully created as we are to be who we are.”
